The Original Landon Kingsway Free Fall Fire Valves are a critical component in any fuel-related fire protection system. Designed specifically for generators, diesel tanks, and plant rooms, these valves are built to cut off or dump the fuel supply in the event of excessive heat or fire.

Automatic fire detection you can trust
These thermal-triggered fire valves are engineered to detect:
- Heat build-up from engine overrun
- Fire within generator enclosures
- Ventilation or louvre actuator failures, where heat builds due to poor airflow
When the ambient temperature reaches 71°C (standard), the fusible link melts, triggering the valve to close or dump fuel immediately. This automatic action helps to prevent escalation of fire risk, keeping personnel and equipment safe.
How it works
Each Free Fall Fire Valve is powered by a drop-arm or dead-weight system, where the weight begins to fall before it moves the valve lever. This pre-drop design ensures momentum is built up, allowing reliable valve activation even under marginal trigger conditions.
Valve cable kits are supplied as standard and include:
